At Rosebud RSL, we are incredibly proud of our partnership with Umbrella Support, a relationship that continues to create meaningful employment opportunities for people living with disability.

Together, we have welcomed Thomas, Jai, Charlotte, and Nicola, into employment at Rosebud RSL, and we have loved every minute of the journey. Their enthusiasm, dedication and positive attitudes have made a lasting impression on our staff, members and guests. This partnership has been an outstanding success, and we look forward to continuing our long and rewarding relationship with these wonderful team members and the dedicated Umbrella Support team.

Creating Meaningful Employment

Employment is one of Umbrella Support’s core services, and Rosebud RSL is proud to be one of its community employment partners.

Every Wednesday from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm, Thomas, Jai and Nicola are part of our Bistro team, assisting with meal service, clearing and resetting tables, and ensuring our dining areas are prepared for the next service. Every Monday morning, Charlotte is working in our kitchen making some of those yummy desserts that our members and guests enjoy. Their friendly smiles, professionalism and commitment to delivering excellent service have made them valued members of our workplace and favourites among our members and guests.

Providing meaningful employment is about far more than a job. It builds confidence, develops valuable workplace skills, fosters independence and creates a genuine sense of belonging.
